dreamer's, unite!

It's been a good while since I've had the opportunity to sit down and review a good bit of the music that I've been sent (thank you all for sending music, I've gotten so very much and it means a lot to me!). During that time, I've had to tend to some personal matters. This required a re-routing of my original destination in effort to assist wandering souls in calibrating their compasses to pinpoint and sustain an optimal voyage destination. It can sometimes feel as though it is a thankful task, but it never goes unnoticed. Touching the hearts and souls of others is and will always be the reward for which no monetary value can determine.

Throughout any turmoil from others as well as myself, I sought to lose myself within the colorful universe of our collectively cherished existence: the beauty and solace of music. Even now as I present to you my travel log that exposes my deepest thoughts, I am swimming deeply in an ocean that is created by swirling magical colors, riding a peaceful current of pillow-soft dreams, and capturing the visions that will never have capable words to describe them. It would be selfish of me to not break off a piece of this hypnotically beautiful confection to share with like-minded wandering travelers. Rather than to present raw ingredients without appropriate instructions, I relish that ability to package this experience into a digestible morsel for your ears and mind. This offering is certified organic and uses only the freshest ingredients for every palate to enjoy. And it's allergy-free!

taking flight

Greetings, dear wanderers in light and sound. I have been busy this year with trying to write new music, and I'm here with yet another release that I'm happy to share with you. I was approached by a gentleman named Grael who asked if he could use some of my music for a documentary on skateboarding. As skateboarding is near and dear to my heart (it really is), I gladly obliged. While I initially only offered some of my pre-released stuff, I took on the task of creating some new music. Not everything was going to be used for the film, but I decided that whatever I did write during this period would be put on this release. So there you have it.

Knowing the challenges that I faced with creating new music (while being faced with overwhelming obligations), I turned to a good buddy of mine whose sole musical release is one of my favorites. CLOUDFALL happily obliged to join me in the project, and together, we were able to complete stellar 1 hour and 45 minute journey that aurally documents the day of a skateboarder.

Please pay a visit to my BANDCAMP page and feel free to download, stream, and share this 1 1/2 hours of music. There are download codes on my FACEBOOK page. Creating the tapestries was a rewarding experience and I'm ecstatic to have the opportunity to share it with the world. Thanks!

lullabies for the skyward soul

Let us gather up our mental baggage for a drop into the deep blue abyss of space. In undertaking this mission, our soul purpose is to sort out the tribulations of life that are weighing us down. As we sail into the cosmos, allow the weightlessness of space to assist you in gathering up and sorting the difficulties that you face into manageable statuses of priority. Tackle these situations with the determination that you will succeed in the task of putting them behind you with a closure of your desiring. Rely on those that have looked to you for guidance in such circumstances with the understanding that a team of cosmonauts will always outweigh the effectiveness of the sole traveler. Remember to return favor when they need you, and assure them of your gratitude with the gift of friendship.

spaceman's transmissions nominated for mixcloud's best online music show

I have to say, this week was really, really good. I finished up a new session, wrote some new music for my next release, and was sent an email from Mixcloud letting me know that I was on the short list (with only 4 others) as a nominee for best online radio show in the ambient genre. I've said it before, and I have to say it again. I started all of this as a one-off project to try something that fascinated me (creating a mix). If I sent my first mix to someone and they posted it, I would have been done and gone onto something else. I can't ever thank Dave Michuda of LOW LIGHT MIXES for being a huge inspiration and really the reigning lord of ambient podcasts and mixes. Instead of simply dismissing my efforts, he gave me a plethora of resources and information that allowed me to build my space temple. We still regularly keep in good contact, have shared music and I feel as though we've built a very good rapport based on our common interest and ambition.

So, instead of me patting myself on the back, I wanted to actually take it to left field a bit and give Dave the credit for my successes. That said, I really can't discount the other thanks. I really want to thank each and every listener out there for liking what I'm doing, and offering me the support by engaging somehow. I don't know who comes here (does anyone?), but I get decent numbers and it really inspires me to make the next session of music way above and beyond the last.

Now that I've expressed that, I'd really appreciate it if you could VOTE for me as a nominee for Mixcloud's Best Online Radio Show in the ambient genre. Voting ends just before midnight on May 23, 2018. Okay, I can only toot my horn so long! Haha! Thanks, everyone. Peace.

lifting the fog

Now that springtime is here (and summer approaches), our beautiful Mother Earth is awakening and renewing once again to celebrate another rotation around the Sun. Where I live, the weather had maintained a winter chill that was abnormal. Although the trees are trying to sprout their leaves and the butterflies yearned to dance, the world around me was still clinging to jackets. The turbulent minds of many were clouded and not susceptible to witness the monumental event of Mother Earth's transformation. I ask you to step into this session in effort to escape to a place that exists full of your expectations of beauty and solace. Take that fog that burdens your mind and mutate it into a blanket of comfort and assurance.

relics

Hello, everyone. I've just curated a collection of my favorite tracks (51 of them) along with 2 unreleased tracks. The release is free of charge, no need to pay a dime! I more or less just want to have a representation of my creations within one single compilation. Excepting those 2 new songs, everything is from prior releases. I'm in the works of finishing up a brand new release and am in the final stages of it.

So, sorry about the silence, some big life changes and a lot of performing and touring. I'll be starting a new mix some point in the near future, it is just taking me a while. In the meantime, I hope that this release will suffice as my offering to you all. Keep on keepin' on. Peace.

sleepers, awake!

We are slowly thawing out from winter's harsh sting, and with springtime upon us, it means that life is once again ready to begin flourishing with a renewal of beauty and wonder. Oh, how I relish the warmth and comfort of this ceremonial event when the days becoming longer and Mother Earth sings us lullabies of being alive! To show my gratitude to this celebration, I toiled in creating the perfect backdrop to welcome this festively monumental recycling of the beauty that we are rewarded that is all around us. Use this session to realize and appreciate Mother Earth's selfless service in delivering us another year in which to look backwards as well as forwards in an effort to perceive the magnitude of life which we should appreciate.

ocean of infinity

It's been a minute since I've had the chance to do very much of anything (making mixes), as I've been busy writing and recording. My latest release has posted, and I'm ecstatic! This took a few months of recording in hotel rooms and my bedroom (where I've managed to carve out my own creative space). I wanted to make sure that this release was above and beyond what I've done so far, and in doing so, I'm paying tribute to the pioneers of space music with this celestial driven venture.

You can find this album on BANDCAMP as well as the usual streaming services. Peace.

the universe within you

After a very brief (yet well warranted) detour on our journey through the cosmos, our mental space pod is once again ready for boarding to yet another destination that is not altogether definable. Rather, the journey that we are undertaking is to collect the many surreal images that our beloved universe possesses. With this session of aural projection, I've granted your mind's eye an opportunity to gain snapshots of beauty and solace as we drift to the edge of the universe. While you might be tempted to take a giant leap past the galactic wall to satisfy your temptation, it is at this event horizon that we will rest, and reminisce about everything in life that has made it such an amazing voyage for you. We will also use this opportunity to realize that your glass is always half full, and that whatever grief or anguish that seems to weigh you down is indeed weightless in space. At this time, allow yourself to release this baggage to be devoured by the forgiving cosmos. During this ceremony, realize that it is not the destination itself that makes you who you become, but rather the journey to that destination.
